Don’t Delay – Get Coach Tickets for October 20th Today
Details of coaches from Bristol and surrounding areas to the TUC’s ‘A Future That Works’ demonstration in London on Saturday October 20th can be found on our website here. In most cases these are free to members and their families. Some extend this to friends. Some others are not free but subsidised. There is also a link to information about all coaches from the South West. Book a seat now. If you have queries on the information provided please email admin@bristolanticutsalliance.org.uk.

A student film setting out the case for supporting the demonstrations can be seen here. Facebook for 20th October here. Information on TUC website here. Facebook for NUS Student Demonstration on 21st November here.

The first hustings meeting planned for the mayoral election has been cancelled because of ‘lack of interest‘. This may say everything you need to know about the election of a mayor for Bristol. However, where hustings take place BADACA wants to ensure that candidates are forced to face up to the key local issues – cuts and privatisation of jobs and services. Current details of hustings meetings are here. This information will be updated regularly so keep an eye on it, attend the meetings and ask questions. We will publicise candidates’ views as widely as possible. We plan to attend hustings meetings and put questions to candidates. If you have an idea for a question please email it to admin@bristolanticutsalliance.org.uk. We will try to ensure that as many of our questions are put to the candidates at as many of the hustings as possible.

Sign the 38 Degrees petition to your local Clinical Commissioning Groups (the groups of GPs who will commission NHS services) to ensure they act to protect the NHS against privatisation and fragmentation here. Just enter your postcode and sign the petition for your CCG.

Please help us to distribute the new edition of BADACA’s NHS pamphlet as widely as possible. It’s available online here. You can get printed copies by emailing admin@bristolanticutsalliance.org.uk.

Please try to get involved in as many of the activities below as possible and pass the information on to others who may be interested
