Fighting the cuts nationally this autumn…

As anger around the country continues to grow at Cameron & Clegg’s assault on the services, jobs and the standard of living of ordinary people, all to pay for the crimes of the bankers and their enormous bailouts. Following the huge TUC lead demonstration in London on 26th March last year, another national mass demo has been called for Saturday 20th October. The TUC has also passed a resolution calling on the General Council to investigate the practicalities of a 24 hour general strike against austerity involving the public and private sectors. Photos of the National Shop Stewards Network lobby of the TUC calling for the general strike are here:

And finally, the National Union of Students (NUS) has called a national demonstration in London on Wednesday 21st November to protest against the abolition of EMA, the massive hike in university tuition fees and all the other attacks on state education being carried out by the ConDem’s.
