Tax Avoidance Olympics 2012 – POSTPONED
By admin | July 19, 2012 | Categories: Campaigns & Issues • Protests & Strikes
PLEASE NOTE THAT IN LIGHT OF THE OVERWHELMING SUCCESS OF THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE OLYMPIC SPONSORS’ TAX AVOIDANCE SCHEME, WE HAVE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THIS EVENT UNTIL THE AUTUMN. MOST OLYMPIC SPONSORS HAVE NOW BACKED DOWN AND AGREED TO PAY THEIR TAX. HOWEVER, TAX AVOIDANCE GENERALLY REMAINS THE REAL CAUSE OF THE GOVERNMENT DEFICIT AND WE WILL BE WORKING WITH PCS REPRESENTATIVES OF HMRC WORKERS TO ORGANISE A DAY OF ACTION LATER IN THE YEAR.
In protest at the Olympic tax avoidance scandal and the even bigger scandal of the tens of billions of tax avoided, evaded and uncollected every year, BADACA supporters are staging a ‘Tax Avoidance Olympics’ by the Fountains, Bristol City Centre at 2pm on Saturday 4th August. More info here…
